When the sun sets in Barrow, Alaska, the town is plunged into thirty straight days of darkness. As the light fades, bloodthirsty vampires move in from across the frozen, barren wasteland to feed on the citizens of this normally quiet town. Their only hope is the over-matched police force, consisting of Sheriff Eben Olemaun (Josh Hartnett) and Deputy Stella Olemaun (Melissa George), a husband and wife who are torn between their own survival and saving the town they love.
