Junon (Catherine Deneuve) and Abel (Jean-Paul Roussillon) welcome their three grown children home for a crowded family Christmas. Joining them are Elizabeth (Anne Consigny), a melancholic playwright, Ivan (Melvil Poupaud), the young peacemaker, and Henri (Mathieu Amalric), the self-destructive black sheep who was banished from family five years earlier.
