Adam (Hugh Dancy) is a young man living in New York. His life is complicated because he suffers from Asperger Syndrome, a disorder that makes him socially awkward and makes it difficult for him to read people's emotions. But he longs for contact and when a beautiful young woman (Rose Byrne) moves into his building, he falls in love with her. Taking a co-worker's advice, he tries to win her.
