In the future, the nation of Japan is on the brink of collapse. As teenage violence climbs out of control, the government enacts a radical new plan to isolate select groups of students on a small island and force them to fight each other to the death. Shuya (Tatsuya Fujiwara), Noriko (Aki Maeda) and Taro Yamamoto) are three students forced to fight on the island.
