During WWII, Bruno (Asa Butterfield), a privileged, 8-year-old German boy, travels with his family from Berlin to Poland when his father (David Thewlis), a high ranking Nazi officer, is given a post at a concentration camp. Isolated and bored, Bruno begins exploring the area surrounding the "farm" behind his new home and eventually meets Schmuel (Jack Scanlon), a Jewish boy living in the camp. Separated by barbed wire, the two boys become friends and eventually come to realize the horrible realities of the war. Directed by Mark Herman.
