When Joe (Nicolas Cage), a cold-blooded assassin, travels to Bangkok for a series of contract killings, he hires a street punk named Kong (Shahkrit Yamnarm) to run errands, intending to execute him when the job is over. Instead, Joe begins mentoring the young man and falls for Fon (Charlie Yeung), a local shop girl.
