John Travolta is back as Chilly Palmer, the loan shark turned movie producer in the sequel to Get Shorty. In this film, based on the bestselling novel by Elmore Leonard, Chilly gets into the rap music business. But even the cut-throat movie scene didn't prepare him for the types he meets here, including a sleazy music producer (Vince Vaughn), his gay bodyguard (Dwayne Johnson) and his partner (James Woods). He still finds time to romance the widow (Uma Thurman) of a murdered music executive and a young singer who may become the next big pop diva (Christina Milian).
