Carl Fredricksen (Edward Asner) has always dreamed of traveling the world, and at the age of 78 he finally decides the time is right. Tying thousands of balloons onto his house, Carl lifts off and begins his journey to expore the globe. But, before long, he discovers that he's not alone because Russell (Jordan Nagai), an 8-year old Junior Wilderness Explorer, was on his porch when the house took off.
