Taylor Peters is a television producer who is just getting used to having his life back on track after years of struggling with alcohol and compulsive gambling. Limiting himself to betting on horses, Taylor's plan works fine until his wife Lorraine (Maura Tierney) discovers evidence that he's been gambling behind her back. To win back his wife and regain her trust, Taylor sets off to Las Vegas to convince his niece Amanda (Brittany Snow), who they've recently learned has been working as a prostitute, to enter rehab.
