Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is the sole survivor of a mining company ship that was attacked by a vicious, parasitic Alien. When she gives her story to the company executives, they dismiss her claims and tell her that the Alien planet has been colonized while she was adrift in space. But, when all communication with the colonists is cut off, Ripley is asked to return to the planet in order to terminate the Aliens once and for all.
