Best friends Holden (Ben Affleck) and Banky (Jason Lee) are the creators of "Bluntman and Chronic," a successful cult comic book. After years of struggling to make it, the pair are finally starting to enjoy the fruits of their labor. But, while attending a comic book convention in New York, things take a turn when Holden meets and falls for Alyssa (Joey Lauren Adams), a fellow comic book artist that happens to be a lesbian. Banky has his doubts about Alyssa, but Holden feels he can be friends with her despite his feelings.
