In order to ensure another win at the cheerleading national championships, the former captain of the Toros cheerleading squad left the newly-elected captain, Torrence (Kirsten Dunst), with a routine stolen from the Clovers, a hip-hop style dance squad from the inner city. When the Clovers find out what has been going on, their captain, Iris (Gabrielle Union), makes a point of telling Torrence to stop using their routine. The Toros are then forced to create a new routine, employing unconventional elements and the gymnastic abilities of a feisty new team member, Missy (Eliza Dushku). Directed by Peyton Reed.
