Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) is a workaholic architect who has been neglecting his family to further his career. When a scientist named Morty (Christopher Walken) gives Michael a universal remote control that allows him to pause, rewind and fast forward his life, he takes full advantage of his new found power to avoid fights with his wife (Kate Beckinsale) and give his boss a little payback (David Hasselhoff).
