When a giant, hideous creature emerges from Seoul's Han River, Gang-du (Kang-ho Song), an immature and unmotivated father watches helplessly as his daughter, Hyun-seo (Ah-sung Ko) is captured by the monster and taken back to its lair. With the help of his strict father (Hie-bong Byeon), grumbling younger brother (Hae-il Park) and talented archer sister (Du-na Bae), Gang-du searches for his lost daughter while the creature devastates the city and its people.
