A remake of the beloved 1980 film about the fortunes of a group of high school students at a performing arts school in New York, this film features rousing tunes and dance numbers. Some of the songs come from the first version, while others were specially composed for this one. A multi-racial cast of young up-and-coming stars portray wanna-be actors, dancers and musicians.
