After his reckless behavior lands him in jail, talented rugby player Rick Penning (Sean Faris) gets a second chance when prison ward Marcus Tate (Sean Astin) works out an arrangement for him to play for a rival team. Initially reluctant to submit to Coach Gelwix's (Gary Cole) grueling training schedule and strict code of conduct, Rick eventually forms a close bond with his new teammates.
