Charlie Sheen is Ryan, an investment banker who suddenly gets laid off and moves in with his friend, Cindy (Denise Richards), a self-absorbed newspaper advice columnist. Then she runs off with her boyfriend. In desperate need of a paycheck, he pretends to be her go-fer and writes her column for her.
