Timothy Treadwell was an incredibly free spirited, sensitive animal rights activist who spent the last years of his life living amongst and tending to the grizzly bears in the natural preserves of Alaska. In October of 2003, he and his girlfriend Amie Huguenard were killed by one of the grizzlies. Composed of video Treadwell filmed of his experiences, this documentary showcases the beauty and danger of wild animals and reveals Treadwell's fascinating but flawed psyche.
