Martin Bank (John Cusack) is a depressed assassin who feels like his life is going nowhere. When he is assigned a mission in the Detroit suburb where he grew up, Bank decides to attend his ten-year high school reunion and try to rekindle a romance with his old girlfriend (Minnie Driver).
