Phil Connors (Bill Murray) is a bitter weather man from Pittsburgh sent to cover the ridiculous people of Punxsutawney on Groundhog Day for the fourth year in a row. Connors doesn't think his life can get any worse. But, when he wakes up the next morning to find that it's still Groundhog Day, he realizes that he is trapped in some kind of sadistic loop that forces him to relive the day over and over until he gets it right.
