After his brother is killed by a bear, Kenai (Joaquin Phoenix), a young Inuit hunter, sets off into the forest to seek revenge. But, when the Great Spirits transform him into a bear himself, Kenai is forced to befriend a young cub named Koda (Jeremy Suarez), who is his only chance for changing back into a human.
