On their way to Amsterdam for a smoke-filled European vacation, Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) find themselves mistaken for terrorists when they try to smuggle a bong aboard the flight. Briefly detained at Guantanamo Bay, the friends manage to escape and struggle to outrun the Department of Homeland Security as they make their way home. But, as they travel from Miami to Texas, the pair once again meet up with an out-of-his-mind Neil Patrick Harris and accidentally stumble onto the ranch of President George W. Bush.
