During the rule of the Tang dynasty in China, the "House of the Flying Daggers" is a secret society dedicated to overthrowing the government. When two local captains, Leo (Andy Lau) and Jin (Takeshi Kaneshiro), are ordered to capture a blind dancer named Mei (Ziyi Zhang), they think her ties to the organization will help them bring it down.
