After escaping a Shanghai nightclub, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) finds himself trekking through India with his young sidekick, Short Round (Jonathan Ke Quan), and a beautiful but spoiled singer (Kate Capshaw). When they happen upon a village, the elders in the community ask Indiana to find a magic stone that has been stolen and rescue their missing children.
