After being barred from their favorite hangout spot, foul-mouthed drug dealer Jay (Jason Mewes) and his best friend Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) come up against another injustice when they discover that a major movie studio is making a film based on their alter egos, Bluntman and Chronic. After their friend Brodie (Jason Lee) breaks the news, Jay and Silent Bob set off from New Jersey to Hollywood, hoping to stop production and receive a huge settlement from film producer Holden McNeil (Ben Affleck). During the colorful duo's eventful road trip, they learn the rules of the road from a hitchhiker (George Carlin), meet a gang of gorgeous jewel thieves and have to deal with an inept Federal Wildlife Marshall (Will Ferrell) after they liberate an orangutan. Directed by Kevin Smith. With Shannon Elizabeth, Eliza Dushku, Ali Larter, Carrie Fisher, Seann William Scott, Jon Stewart and Tracy Morgan. Categories: Adventure, Comedy. Year: 2001.
