Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) is a typical 15-year-old, who wishes that her young stepbrother, Toby (Toby Froud), would just disappear. Stuck babysitting Toby yet again, Sarah playfully calls out for the assistance of the sinister Goblin King Jareth (David Bowie). When Jareth appears, he transports Toby to his magical castle in the middle of a terrifying maze.
