On an annual fishing trip with his friends in the Australian outback, Stewart Kane (Gabriel Byrne) happens upon the body of a murdered young woman in the river. Rather than return to town and report the death immediately, Stewart and his friends continue fishing and report their gruesome find days later. When Stewart's wife, Claire (Laura Linney), discovers what happened, she is deeply trouble by her husband's inaction and questions her faith in their relationship. As Claire tries to make things right with the dead girl's family, her marriage is pushed to its limit and she risks losing her once peaceful life. Directed by Ray Lawrence.
