When Madeline (Embeth Davidtz), a recently married art gallery owner from Chicago, travels to rural North Carolina to close a deal with a reclusive artist, her husband, George (Alessandro Nivola), uses the opportunity to introduce her to his family who lives nearby. Although George's family members are for the most part hospitable to Madeline, her presence disrupts their country life and brings hidden resentments out into the light. Directed by Phil Morrison.
