Eric (Tom Cavanaugh) and Sam (Ben Shenkman) are a happy gay couple whose lives are suddenly turned upside down when a distant relative dies and names them the guardians of a young boy, Scot. The twist is that the tween boy has already decided he is gay and they don't know how to handle this, especially Eric, a former hockey player turned sportscaster, who is still in the closet at work.
