A slick, professional drug dealer (Daniel Craig) planning his early retirement is faced with completing two difficult tasks before his boss (Kenneth Cranham) will let him out of the business. First, he must track down the drug addict daughter of a powerful criminal (Michael Gambon). Second, he has to clean up the mess surrounding a fortune in stolen ecstasy by negotiating a deal with a petty crook playing out of his league. The path to retirement becomes increasingly bumpy as hidden alliances and double-croses come into play, and the drug dealer realizes that getting out of the game won't be as easy as he thought.
