Alex (Allen Covert), a 35-year-old slacker and video game tester, has to move in with his grandmother Lily (Doris Roberts) after his roommate fails to pay their rent for six months. While testing the next generation of a popular video game, Alex discovers that someone has stolen the top secret code for a new game he has been working on in his free time.
