Huck Cheever (Eric Bana) is an ultra-competitive poker player, who has problems with commiting to realtionships and living up to expectations. His mission to win the 2003 World Series of Poker is complicated when he meets Billie Offer (Drew Barrymore), a beautiful singer, and tries to overcome his history of running away from his feelings.
