Maggie (Cameron Diaz) and Rose (Toni Collette) are sisters, but they couldn't be more different. Maggie is drop-dead gorgeous and a free spirit who dropped out of school and moves from job to job. Rose is a plain workaholic lawyer whose only vice is buying pricey shoes. It's always been hard for them to get along, but when Maggie moves in with Rose, a crisis tears them apart.
