Journalist Brian Kessler (David Duchovny) and his photographer girlfriend Carrie (Michelle Forbes) set out to visit a collection of murder sites while doing research on serial killers. Sharing the ride and their expenses is Early Grayce (Brad Pitt), a white trash criminal, and his girlfriend Adele (Juliette Lewis).
