Unhappy with how his life has turned out, middle-aged father Mike O'Donnell (Matthew Perry) wishes he could go back and do it all over again. When he attempts to save the life of a mysterious janitor (Brian Doyle-Murray), Mike gets his chance and awakes to discover that he's been transformed into his 17-year-old self (Zac Efron). After convincing his best fried Ned (Thomas Lennon) who he is, Mike sets out recapture his glory days and experience everything he missed out on.
