Joe Buck (Jon Voight) is a wild boy from Texas who thinks he can make a living hustling rich women in New York city. He ends up being hustled himself by con man Ratzo Rizzo (Dustin Hoffman), a small, sickly man whose life is proof that the streets are no place for this country boy.
