Poppy (Sally Hawkins) is a freespirited school teacher who brightens up the lives of everyone she meets and brings unlimited optimism to every situation she encounters. But, when her bike is stolen, Poppy's positive attitude is put to the test. Forced to take driving lessons, Poppy meets her opposite in Scott (Eddie Marsan), an uptight cynic.
