Omar (Gordon Warnecke) is a young Pakistani living in London amidst the machinations and drama of his large family represented by his wealthy uncle Nasser (Saeed Jaffrey) and ailing father (Roshan Seth). After Omar encounters Johnny (Daniel Day-Lewis), his friend and one time lover, the two decide to reunite as the managers of a rundown laundromat. Directed by Stephen Frears.
