Transferred to rural Minnesota to oversee the restructuring of a manufacturing plant, Lucy Hill (Renée Zellweger), a high-powered Miami business woman, struggles to adjust to small town life. Overcoming an icy reception and her inital reluctance to embrace the isolated town's charm, Lucy is eventually accepted by the community and grows close to Ted Mitchell (Harry Connick Jr.), a no-nonsense voluntary transplant. But, when Lucy is ordered to close the plant, she in forced to re-examine her big city values and find a way to save the plant and its workers' jobs. Directed by Jonas Elmer.
