After Sydney Wells (Jessica Alba), a beautiful, blind violinist, undergoes a cornea transplant, she struggles to understand a new world that she has not seen since she was a young girl. When Sydney begins to see blurry figures and horrific visions around her, her therapist, Paul Faulkner (Alessandro Nivola) explains that the phenomena are just her mind's way of interpreting the new stimuli.
