When RJ (Bruce Willis), a raccoon con artist, meets up with a mismatched group of forest creatures led by Vern the tortoise (Garry Shandling), he fools them into helping him repay a food debt he owes to an angry bear. Together, these adventurous critters venture out into the new suburban sprawl that popped up while they were hibernating, and learn a lesson about friends and family.
