On their way to Amsterdam for a smoke-filled European vacation, Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) find themselves mistaken for terrorists when they try to smuggle a bong aboard the flight. Briefly detained at Guantanamo Bay, the friends manage to escape and struggle to outrun the Department of Homeland Security as they make their way home.
