After a series of assassination attempts on Senator Padmé Amidala (Natalie Portman), Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) is charged with escorting the former Queen to her home planet of Naboo. While Anakin uses the time alone to confess his love to Padmé, his teacher, Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor), investigates the death of a captured assassin and discovers that the Republic is building a secret clone army.
