When Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), a young farmer on the remote planet of Tatooine, meets Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness), the mysterious old hermit reveals that Luke's father was once his pupil and convinces the boy that he too must learn to use the Force of the Jedi to fight against the evil Galactic Empire. As Luke and Obi-Wan set out to save the Rebel Leader, Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), they are joined by Han Solo (Harrison Ford), a cocky blockade runner, and his hairy sidekick Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew).
