In the 1960s, Dorian "Doc" Paskowitz gave up his life as a successful doctor, moved his family into an RV and began a nomadic life centered on surfing. With his wife, Juliette, and their nine children, Doc set out to live a highly controlled and principled life designed to free his family from the contrains of the materialistic world. Home schooling his children, keeping them on a strict diet and entering them in surfing competitions, Doc created a strong family, free from the excesses of modern American life. But, years later, we learn that the Paskowitz's lifestlye was never easy and resulted in a strange mix of gratitude and resentment. Directed by Doug Pray. Categories:Documentary, Sports, Family.
