After breaking up with his girlfriend and moving to Los Angeles, struggling comedian Mike Peters (Jon Favreau) begins to regret his decision when his career fails to take off, leaving him to pine over his loss in his empty apartment. To get him out of his funk, Mike's smooth-talking best friend Trent (Vince Vaughn) drags him away for a wild night in Las Vegas.
