Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren) follows Mitch Brenner (Rod Taylor) to the quiet coastal town of Bodega Bay, where Mitch spends his weekends with his sister and mother. Shortly after she arrives, Melanie is attacked by a sea gull.
