After accidentally killing some mafia thugs, two Irish Catholic brothers, Conner (Sean Patrick Flanery) and Murphy MacManus (Norman Reedus), turn themselves in to police but are released as heroes. Encouraged by the public's praise, the brothers see it as a calling from God and start taking out mafia gang members one by one. Willem Dafoe plays the FBI detective investigating the case.
