At an annual Christmas gathering, Everett (Dermot Mulroney), the eldest son in the Stone Family, brings his uptight girlfriend (Sarah Jessica Parker) home to meet his parents, brothers and sisters. The family greets their visitor with a mix of awkwardness, confusion and hostility. Before the holiday is over, relationships unravel and secrets are revealed, but in the end the family's love for one another brings them together. Diane Keaton and Craig T.
