Verbal Kent (Kevin Spacey) is the only surviving member of a gang of criminals brought together for a waterfront drug heist. As Verbal recounts his story for the police chief (Chazz Palminteri), he describes the assembly of the gang (Benicio Del Toro, Stephen Baldwin, Kevin Pollak and Gabriel Byrne) and how their plan went awry.
